Where Colorado
Comes to Life

Castle Rock's premier fine art gallery — celebrating local artists, original work, and the wild beauty of the Colorado landscape.

"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."  —  Castle Rock's only dedicated fine art gallery.

A Gallery Born
from Colorado's Soul

Rhyolite Gallery is Castle Rock's only dedicated fine art gallery, nestled in the heart of historic downtown. Founded by the Castle Rock Artist Alliance under the stewardship of Nick Lucey, the gallery exists to champion the extraordinary artists who call Colorado home.

Named for the volcanic rhyolite rock that forms Castle Rock's iconic butte, our gallery is as rooted in this landscape as the art we display. Every painting, sculpture, photograph, and mixed media piece in our collection tells a story of place, perspective, and passion.

We believe fine art shouldn't be intimidating — it should move you. Whether you're a seasoned collector or walking into a gallery for the first time, Rhyolite is your space to discover, connect, and take something extraordinary home.

Featured Artists

Each artist in our collection brings a unique Colorado perspective — from the plains to the peaks.

Karen Mitchell
Oil & Acrylic Painting

A Parker native, Karen's landscapes capture the changing light of Colorado's seasons with breathtaking accuracy. Her work has been exhibited throughout the Front Range for over 15 years.

James Whitfield
Fine Art Photography

James spends hundreds of hours in the field to capture the perfect moment. His large-format prints reveal the raw drama of Colorado's skies in intimate detail.

Sarah Chen
Watercolor & Mixed Media

Sarah's fluid watercolor technique mirrors the movement of mountain streams. Each piece is as meditative to view as it was to create — a study in stillness and flow.

Paul Torres
Acrylic & Encaustic

Born in Castle Rock, Paul's bold color palette and textured surfaces make his landscapes feel almost tactile. You can feel the heat of the red rock formations in every brushstroke.

Aria Foster
Mixed Media & Collage

Aria combines photography, found objects, and paint to create layered narratives about the Colorado landscape and its people. Her work challenges the line between fine art and found art.

Marcus Dell
Bronze & Steel Sculpture

Marcus forges abstract sculptures that echo the geological formations of Colorado. His bronze pieces have been commissioned for public spaces throughout Douglas County.
